Generation Y United group on Facebook

With help of Jarmo, I just set up the Generation Y United group on Facebook. Generation Y refers to the generation of young people born between – roughly – 1980 and 1992.

The goals behind Generation Y United are:

1. To UNITE young people, exchange thoughts, visions and increase common understanding
2. TALK about the things that matter for our personal happiness, and to CHANGE those things that bring the future happiness of our generation in danger
3. SOLVE the global challenges we face now, and will face in the future, through online discussion

We thought Young Minds Re-shaping The World! was a catchy way to describe what Generation Y United stands for, so that’s our ‘pay-off’ for the moment.

It is a great experiment, to see how we can change the world through social media and online exchange of ideas, thoughts and visions. As with The Book Project, the odds of actually making a big difference are small. But as life only gives one chance, it is worth a try!
