101 things I want to do in life

Jul 23, 2009 No Comments by Sietse

Last week, someone challenged me to make a list of 101 things I want to do in my life, people I’d like to meet, places I’d like to see, and so on. The number 101 is obviously more of random choice, but that certainly didn’t make the challenge less exciting!

I started my list with names of the people I’d like to meet in my life. Wouldn’t mind having a coffee with folks like Anthony Robbins, Barack Obama or Al Gore. Then I wondered: “Where do I want to go?” Iceland, New York, Fiji, Dubai… All on my list. So, what do I want to get done in my life? Publishing a book, getting a flying license, directing a live TV show…

After a lot of thoughts and staring at other people’s lists I couldn’t get further than a modest 40 things I want to get done in my life. That certainly challenges me to think about it a bit longer, but I can already tell you it is a great way of forcing yourself to live in a more concious way.

Do you want to challenge yourself as well? It doesn’t take more than a pen and a piece of paper, or an empty notepad file on your computer to make yourself a list of 101 things you want to do in your life. Good luck!
