Why (not) now?
People often seem to postpone the most precious events in their lives until after death, I just realized. Therefor, the question is: “Why (not) now?”
In my life, I experienced a couple of true ‘just jump’-moments. Moments in which you need to decide whether you go for it or not in a short time, based on gut feeling or a very quick analysis of pros and cons. You might wonder: “Looking back, did you take the right decision in those cases?” So far, I’d say “yes!” in every case. Because despite the consequences being positive or negative, the result was always a wonderful experience (or more than one!) or a priceless lesson (or more than one!).
“Don’t wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. So what. Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more and more skilled, more and more self-confident and more and more successful.”
Mark Victor Hansen
“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
Mark Twain

We here like to say, ‘It’s better to regret the things that you have done than those you have never done’. But, along with your point, I say we shouldn’t regret ANYTHING. Because there IS experience and fun, anyway!
