Runner-up in Communications Talent of the Year

This Thursday, at the Logeion Let’s Connect conference in Utrecht, the Netherlands, the Communications Talent of the Year Award of 2010 was chosen. Out of dozens of entries, I was proud to have made it to the three finalists. Evelien Ter Ellen won deserved, while I had the honour to share the second place with Liesbeth de Smedt. Congratulations to Evelien!

It was a long journey, full of wise lessons. Some people asked me: “Aren’t you disappointed that you didn’t win?” Of course I would have loved to win this award, but at the same time I am grateful to have made it so far rather than being disappointed. I’ve received a lot of positive feedback and valuable suggestions, and got to know my fellow finalists a little better!

Thanks to everyone who voted online, and to the jury of the Communications Talent of the Year Award. I would also like to thank Marylse Toxopeus, who organised the award on behalf of Logeion.
