I decided to start the extraordinary search for the answers to the questions that keep our generation busy, and write a book about it. The odds of coming up with an eye-opening book that can change the world, our personal happiness and our common future are very small. But I am willing to give it a try, because I believe it is worth it.

What? Call them Generation Y, the Millennials, the Echo Boom generation or anything else that puts the generation we are part of in a box. Despite these generalizations, our generation is getting ready for a future full of challenges unlike the ones previous generations faced. I would like to

• explain how you can make your dreams come true and underline that making your dreams come true is a skill, and not a matter of luck alone;
• go through some of the challenging ups and downs we already face and will face in the future, and explain how they relate to our personal happiness;
• engage our generation to gather behind common goals, for the sake of our personal happiness

I want this book to be an informative and entertaining eye-opener for people between (roughly) 18 and 28 from across the world. Unlike the countless books written about this generation, this one is actually written for this generation, by someone who is part of it. It is a book for everyone who wants to make a difference as well.

Why? In the past years of my life, I’ve met hundreds of fellow young people from across the world who feel the irresistible desire to make the world we live in a better place for our common future. All over the planet, young people take initiative and act upon this wish. With this book, I would like to make my own contribution and engage you in doing the same.

How? By doing statistical research, talking with people, gathering opinions and, by using social media to involve fellow members of my generation in this project.

When? The bad news is that if you don’t set a goal and wait until ‘the flow’ does all the hard work, it is unlikely you every achieve something. The good news is that you can help yourself a lot in making your dreams come true by actually having a goal, and a plan of how to reach that goal. So, I set myself a clear goal - to publish the book in the first half of 2009.

How to become part of it? No one can change the world alone. From the most important leaders, to the greatest thinkers, they all lead a team that ultimately help them to achieve what they would not have achieved alone. I believe that many people together can make a difference, and history has proven that. I would like you to be part of that team, by providing feedback, giving suggestions and by spreading the word about this project and website through the reaction feature.
